The National Voice of Transport Workers
Uniting 2.7M members across 14 associations and 45+ counties.
Who We Are
Initiated in 2013, FEDCO - KENYA is the Federation of Drivers, Riders and Conductors Kenya.
What began as a small coalition of transport workers is now Kenya’s largest federation in the sector — with a presence in 45+ counties and over 2.7 million members drawn from 14 associations.
"We were formed because one driver alone can be ignored. 2.7 million cannot."
Mission
To defend the rights, welfare, safety, and dignity of all transport sector workers through unity, advocacy, training, and economic empowerment.
Vision
A united, safe, respected, and prosperous transport workforce driving Kenya’s economy.
Our Leadership
Led by President Calvin Nyaure Anyango and Director Rose Nekesa Wanyonyi, our National Executive Council includes elected representatives from each of our 14 affiliate associations.
Irene Nyambura is the CEO and Secretary General of the Federation of Drivers and Conductors (Fedco), serving as a seasoned thought leader with over 10 years of experience in Kenya's public transport sector. She is a dedicated advocate for safer roads, driver and conductor empowerment, and comprehensive capacity building through targeted training and gender inclusivity. Throughout her career, Irene has successfully advanced workforce representation and championed progressive policy reforms, including strategic advocacy for the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) to build a sustainable, safe, and equitable future for the country's public transport ecosystem.
